The January 2020 Spotlight is Savvelan

A horse named Moose!  Moose is a worker and has an impressive resume of skills.  While she has not earned much money or fame on any particular horse circuit, Moose has reportedly earned around $8,000 as a roper and almost $3,000 as a reined cow horse.  After moving to Texas we found her original owners who live nearby; they roped off Moose for 2 years before selling her to a ranch in Wyoming.  There she was primarily used as a ranch horse, competing occasionally as a reined cow horse.  She was then sold as a “fun” horse for a family with three kids for 2 years before coming to our family.  Moose loves to lead and would make an excellent trail horse for light riding and is perfect for a family, being very patient with kids and easy to ride.  Moose does require being shod with aluminum wedge shoes for maintenance purposes.  Check out our videos of Moose being put through various paces at:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoNS0KAfj1MiNyEEPzXitjg/featured

We love Moose, but unfortunately do not have the time in our very busy training schedule to keep her occupied with work or activities.  She is fantastic at helping us ponying the fillies-in-training once a week, but that’s not enough work to keep her happy, and we want Moose to be happy.  Moose is currently for sale for just $4,200 – priced to help her move to the right forever home quickly.
