Shooter is a super sweet gelding who just happens to be loaded with the quick catty athletic moves needed to box up any tough cow! And his coat is fantastic! A bay roan with his winter jammies on, he’ll shed out to be a beautiful blue. He definitely has the looks, but even better, this guy can move! After working with him for more than a month we are sure Shooter can be your next versatility horse, rope horse or barrel racer. His breeding is foundation-full with money earners out the wazoo and his movements are as super flashy as his looks. Shooter has a doll face and kind eye supported by a nice chest and smooth-lined hip. He was given ample time to grow and mature before being started, so he will be sound long into his working and/or earning years. Shooter has had ground-work and has a few rides on him, though nothing strenuous. We will continue working and riding him as long as he’s here. As of this write-up (Feb 2021) we’ve had nothing but heavy rain, sleet, ice, snow and record-breaking lows for several weeks so he’s had that time off. Shooter gets along great with others, ties well, stands for the farrier, blankets over his head and trailers like a champ. Soon enough he’ll be eating up cows and/or barrels like a champ, too!!
