We call this little mare Pixie but should have called her Jenny from the Block given her thick booty!  And oh boy is she cute – roaning all over that booty!  Pixie came to us from an estate sale and while she was originally broke it appears she was put to pasture with the rest of her stable mates and not worked much as her owner’s health issues increased.  We are working with her daily and she easily remembers her training, showing great poise and attention.  This one might just become a permanent Ranch pony because her personality and uber-cuteness are growing on us every day!  Pixie has an old, healed barb wire scar on her hind right leg.  It’s a bit scarred but does not affect her soundness in any way.  The only maintenance we’re doing for it is using lotion to soften the scar tissue and encourage hair regrowth in that area.

Update #1, 2/16/2020: X-rays confirm that Pixie is sound and the scar on her leg is cosmetic; the hair is growing back in that area.

Update #2, 2/16/2020: Sonogram confirms that Pixie is in foal and is due in January 2021.  Stud is Royal Pretty Boy by Pretty Boy Cat out of Pretty Royal Holly.

Pixie is one of two horses on the Ranch that are not actively for sale unless you offered us an extraordinary amount of money 🙂
